Dogs are called man’s best friend for a reason. They are our loyal companions through life’s many highs and lows. They always go out of their way to support and love us unconditionally. Many dogs contribute to society, helping emergency services and supporting people living with a disability. Dogs do so much for us, and International Dog Day is a time to celebrate that wonderful bond we share.
International Dog Day is also a time to think about dogs that are doing it hard. You could consider donating money and volunteering time at a rescue or animal welfare organisation. Perhaps you have thought about and are ready to take the big step of adopting a dog to provide them with a safe, loving, forever home.
Whatever is the case, International Dog Day is a time worth celebrating. We must let all our furry friends out there know just how pawesome they are. Click here to learn about dog cremation.
