Do you have questions about pet cremation? You’re not alone. Many pet parents consider this funeral option when it’s time for their furbaby to say goodbye. Whilst pet cremation has become an increasingly popular choice, we still receive questions about the process from pet parents, and we’re happy to answer them all.
The Most Common Questions About Pet Cremation We Receive From Pet Parents
Q: What areas does Pet Angel service? Is the cremation service done locally?

A: You can choose your preferred location, including your home and veterinary clinic.
Q: When will Pet Angel collect my pet?
A: If your pet has sadly passed away, we will generally be there within 1-2 hours after you notify us. Alternatively, if you have made a euthanasia booking, our staff will be there to collect at a requested time.
Q: When and how will Pet Angel be in contact with me about my pet?
A: One of our locally based team will contact you the day after collection to discuss our services and available package options.

Q: How can I guarantee that I receive only my pet’s ashes?
A: Pet Angel has separate chambers for individual cremations, with only one pet being cremated at a time. Each pet also has their own identification tag from the moment they are brought into our care, which we match with every piece of paperwork through every step in the process.
Q: Can I witness the cremation?
Yes, you can witness the beginning of the cremation process in our viewing room. An additional charge applies, and this service is only available for the first cremation of the day (early morning).
Q: What is the typical turnaround time to receive my pet’s ashes back?
A: It generally takes 5-7 business days from finalising arrangements. Some personalised options, such as Personalised urns and Memory Bears, can take a little longer.

A: We can deliver it to your preferred location, including your home and veterinary clinic. You are also welcome to collect your pet’s ashes from either of our facilities.
Q: Does Pet Angel offer a home burial service?
A: No, but we have a beautiful Memory Room where you can hold an intimate service. An additional charge applies.
Q: Do you do cremation for other pets besides dogs and cats?
A: We also cremate small pets such as guinea pigs, lizards, snakes and rats. We cannot, however, cremate horses.
