Tom & Anne Jorgensen - Founder

For 45 years Tom Jorgensen worked in construction, but when building beside a veterinary clinic in 2014, he witnessed a confronting scene that saw him put down his tools for good. A lady carrying her pet in a plastic bag. He thought, “Well, can I do this better?'”  After some research into the pet cremation industry, Tom felt inspired to create a family-run business that was compassionate and transparent. That’s when he decided in 2015 with his wife, Anne and two nephews, Wade and Scott and a handful of staff to start Pet Angel.

Scott Gunnell - Co-Founder & General Manager

I’m Scott, the co-founder and managing director here at Pet Angel. I have an adorable Maltese named Coco, an amazing wife, Rischelle, and an energetic 3-year-old son, Colt. On weekends, you’ll often find me hitting the open road on my motorbike, exploring new destinations with the rest of the Pet Angel staff. I feel incredibly fortunate to be living my passion every day, surrounded by a team that shares my dedication. Together, we’re here to make a difference and provide a loving farewell for our cherished pets.

Wade Gunnell - Crematorium Manager

I’m Wade, the cremation manager at Pet Angel, where I oversee the compassionate farewell process for our beloved furry friends. When it comes to my own dynamic duo, I have two mischievous dogs named Peanut and Buttah. These little rascals are absolute joys, even if they can’t grace the office with their presence due to their “rudeness” (typical daschunds). You’ll often find me cheering on my favorite fighters in the UFC or whipping up mouthwatering dishes in the kitchen, or firing up the BBQ. I also enjoy riding my motorbike on weekends.

Neale - Representative Manager

Hi I’m Neale, and this is Jax.
I’ve worked in the beverage industry for the last 30 years, but felt I needed a change into something where I was able to give back. I started as a representative with Pet Angel but with growth, have become the representative manager.

I enjoy motorbike riding and spending quality time with my family. I love animals and helping people so being able to assist both in this difficult time is humblingThe team at Pet Angel are awesome, genuine and caring.

Nicole - Design, Marketing & Operations

Hi I’m Nicole, and this is my dog Wendy. I’ve been with Pet Angel since 2015. I have been involved in creating many of the systems that we have in place today. I have a diploma in Graphic Design, but I knew when growing up that I always wanted to work in the animal industry, so working at Pet Angel is great as I am able to incorporate my design skills and still be in the animal industry while also helping people during a difficult time.

Tommy - Urn Production

Simon - Crematorium Operator

I’m Simon, and I’m all about finding joy in the simple things. When I’m not busy as a cremation operator, I’m often found casting my line and indulging in the tranquility of fishing. In my downtime, you’ll likely catch me engrossed in a captivating book or strumming away on my guitar, creating soulful melodies. Though I may not have my own furry companions, I absolutely adore being around the adorable and loving pets we have on staff. They never fail to bring a smile to my face.

Jack - Crematorium Operator

Karen - Paw Castings

Hi I’m Karen, I have lived a third of my life in the UK and Europe, I now call Australia home again. Our fur babies Lucy and OJ bring total joy to our family.  My love of traveling has bought me in contact with many different animals, with elephants and penguins being my wildlife favorites. Working with a group of fellow pet lovers is a joy and I am passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to you and your pet.

Glen - Paw Castings

Hi I’m Glen and this is my ‘old mate’ Toto. I visit him often, along with my other furry friends. Lucky their humans like me too !

I’ve had a number of pets over my life, and have sadly needed to send some of them across that rainbow bridge. Being able to say farewell with respect and dignity is the final gift we can give our pets, and I feel honoured to be able to assist in any way during such a difficult time.

Hi my name is Dayle, and this is my boy Mack!

I have previously worked as a carpenter, but I just didn’t feel like it was the right industry for me. Since working at Pet Angel I have had many moments where I have truely felt that this is what I am meant to be doing. I truely love helping people and doing what I can to make them feel at ease by looking after their pet.

Hi, I’m Barry and I’m also the partner of Arlene from our Gold Coast office.

Our dog Kirri shares ownership of us and comes to work most days to boss us both around.

I have lived on the Gold Coast for many, many years, and have mostly worked in the building industry.

I enjoy working with our other pet lovers and helping our customers through this particularly difficult and sad time.

I’m Matt, your friendly rep driver at Pet Angel. After making the move from Canberra last year, I found a new chapter of my life unfolding. Our family is complete with the presence of our gorgeous dog, Saffy, who brings boundless joy to our lives. Now, when the weekend rolls around, you might just find me transforming into a hermit crab, enjoying the cozy comforts of home and indulging in some much-needed relaxation.
