MEET THE TEAM

Tom & Anne Jorgensen
For 45 years Tom Jorgensen worked in construction, but when building beside a veterinary clinic in 2014, he witnessed a confronting scene that saw him put down his tools for good. A lady carrying her pet in a plastic bag. He thought, “Well, can I do this better?'” After some research into the pet cremation industry, Tom felt inspired to create a family-run business that was compassionate and transparent. That’s when he decided in 2015 with his wife, Anne and two nephews, Wade and Scott and a handful of staff to start Pet Angel.

Wade & Scott Gunnell
Wade and Scott are Tom and Anne’s, nephews. They helped grow Pet Angel into the company it is today.
Wade looks after all of the pets that come to the Gold Coast crematorium. He also manages the Brisbane crematorium. He has two Dachshunds called Peanut and Butter.
Scott is the Managing Director of Pet Angel. He has a beautiful wife and son, and two dogs called Tia and Coco.

Nicole
Hi I’m Nicole, this is my dog Max! I’m the Admin manager and I’ve been with Pet Angel since 2015. I have been involved in creating many of the systems that we have in place today. I have a diploma in Graphic Design, but I knew when growing up that I always wanted to work in the animal industry, so working at Pet Angel is great as I am able to incorporate my design skills and still be in the animal industry while also helping people during a difficult time. I also love being able to bring Max to work with me every day.

Neale
Hi I’m Neale, and this is Jax.
I’ve worked in the beverage industry for the last 30 years, but felt I needed to change to something where I was able to give back. I love animals and helping people so being able to assist both in this difficult time is humbling. The team at Pet Angel are awesome, genuine and caring.

Arlene
Hi my name is Arlene and this is my furry family member, Kirri. I have lived on the Gold Coast for over 30 years and I have four grown up children and 3 gorgeous grandchildren.
I have always been an animal lover so working at Pet Angel where everyone is an animal lover and every day is bring your pet to work day is the perfect place for me (and Kirri).

Dale
Hi, I’m Dale, and this is Leo my grand-puppy. My introduction to Pet Angel was unfortunately as a client; After the loss of my beautiful Golden Retriever Bailey and shortly after, my Husky, Koda. I was so deeply grateful for what Pet Angel had done for me and my fur babies. After spending 25 years as a Police Officer, I applied for a job with them in 2018 and have enjoyed working here ever since.
For me, like others at Pet Angel, this is not a job, it’s a passion. When I’m asked how I do such a sad job, the answer is simple; I cry a lot.
“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”

Peta
Hi my name is Peta, this is my Dachshund puppy, Millie. I am a mum to 3 beautiful children that are my life. I have always had a passion for helping people and I adore all animals. Working for Pet Angel is very rewarding, not only do I work with a great team but I also get to help people on a daily basis to grieve and help them deal with the loss of their pet.

David
Hi I’m David and this is my handsome boy Lawson. I’m married to my childhood sweetheart and best friend, and we have a beautiful little boy named Elijah. I worked in the funeral industry for 5 years which allowed me to pursue my passion for helping people in need. I truly believe that pets are the most loyal member of any family and they deserve to be treated with the utmost dignity and respect.

Karen
Hi I’m Karen, I have lived a third of my life in the UK and Europe, I now call Australia home again. Our fur babies Lucy and OJ bring total joy to our family. My love of traveling has bought me in contact with many different animals, with elephants and penguins being my wildlife favorites. Working with a group of fellow pet lovers is a joy and I am passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to you and your pet.

Amelia
Hello I’m Amelia, and this is my cat Wolfgang Amadeus Wilhelm.

Barry

Our dog Kirri shares ownership of us and comes to work most days to boss us both around.
I have lived on the Gold Coast for many, many years, and have mostly worked in the building industry.
I enjoy working with our other pet lovers and helping our customers through this particularly difficult and sad time.

Dave
