It was once the domain of crazy cat ladies, but it is now becoming mainstream. More and more pet owners are including their fur-children in their photos of special occasions.
As a pet lover surrounded by many other pet lovers, I have noticed a trend appearing on my Facebook newsfeed: pets in engagement photos, pets in wedding photos, and a satirical post on Buzzfeed.com even popped up last week of a newborn photoshoot done with a dog.
I have seen some stunning photos and I have to admit I love it. I’m not sure that my dogs will quite be up to ring-bearer duties, but they are absolutely going to have to have a cameo in my wedding photos. How could I not share that day with them?
As for the newborn photoshoot, I get it. My dogs are my babies. This one may have been done as a joke, but I have a feeling this is actually being done in some corners of the world as a legitimate activity. Not sure if I’m quite sold on that one just yet.
